Brief Biography: Professor Ning Xi received D.Sc. degree in Systems Science and Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, USA in December 1993. Currently he is the Chair Professor of Robotics and Automation in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing System Engineering, and the Director of Advanced Emerging Technologies Institute of the University of Hong Kong. Before joining the University of Hong Kong, he was a University Distinguished Professor, the John D. Ryder Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Director of Robotics and Automation Laboratory at Michigan State University in United States. He also served as the founding head of the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong (2011-2013). Prof. Xi is a fellow of IEEE. He also served as the President of IEEE Nanotechnology Council (2010-2011), a member of Administrative Committee of IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (2013-2015). He has been elected as the President of IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (2018-2019). His research interests include robotics, manufacturing automation, micro/nano manufacturing, nano sensors and devices, and intelligent control and systems.

Brief Biography: YONGDUAN SONG is currently the Dean of the School of Automation, Chongqing University, the Dean of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of Chongqing University, an IEEE Fellow, an Academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (USA). He has published 12 monographs and 300 papers. He also holds more than 60 patents. He served/has been serving as Associate Editor for several internationally renowned academic journals, including IEEE Trans. On Automatic Control, IEEE Trans. on Intelligent Transportation Systems, etc. He is the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems. His current research interests include advanced control theory, artificial intelligence and the related applications.

Brief Biography: Feng Gao earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1991, and his Master in Mechanical Engineering at Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute in 1982. From 1995 to 1997, he was a postdoctoral research associate in the School of Engineering Science at Simon Fraser University. He was a full professor at Yanshan University from 1995 to 1999. He served first as Vice President and then as President of Hebei University of Technology from 2000 to 2004. From 2009 to 2013, he served as the director of the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Systems and Vibration at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Since 2004, he has been the Chair Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
His research interests are the design and control of parallel robotic mechanisms, multi-leg robots, design and control of heavy-duty manipulators and machinery with parallel mechanisms. He won the 2013 China National Natural Science Award because of his contributions in parallel mechanism design and the 8 items of awards from the provincial science and technology invention prizes in China. And he won the ASME Leonardo Da Vinci Award for his invention of parallel manipulators in USA in 2014. He has been granted 126 patents and has published 3 research books on mechanisms and robotics, as well as 210 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He served as the General Member of the ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Committee, the Associate Editor of Mechanism and Machine Theory, ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics, ASME Journal of Mechanical Design, Robotica, Engineering, and Deputy Editor in Chief for the Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering (in English). He gave the Keynote Speeches on the conferences of the ASME 2012 and IFToMM 2015, respectively.

Speech Title: Online Trajectory Planning for the Planetary Powered-Descent Guidance under uncertain environments

Brief Biography: Prof.Qianchuan Zhao received the B.E. degree in automatic control in July 1992, the B.S. degree in applied mathematics in July 1992, and MS and Ph.D. degrees in control theory and its applications in July 1996, all from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He is currently a Professor and Director of the Center for Intelligent and Networked Systems (CFINS) Department of Automation, Tsinghua University. His current research focuses on the modeling, control and optimization of complex networked systems under uncertain environment. Dr. Zhao is an editor for the IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Results in Control and Optimizaiton. He was awarded The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China in 2014.

Brief Biography: Dongbin Zhao is a professor with the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Dr. Zhao serves as the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence (TAI), IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems (TCDS), IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine (CIM), etc. He is the Chair of Strategic Planning Committee of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He is involved in organizing many international conferences, including General Chair of IEEE Conference on Games 2022. He has published 6 books, and over 300 international journal and conference papers, including Outstanding Paper Rewards of 2020 IEEE TCDS, 2022 IEEE TETCI, etc. His group has gained over 10 First Prizes in Competition Challenges, including 3 Championships of 2020 RoboMaster AI Challenge, the Championship for Fighting AI Competition of 2020 IEEE Conference on Games, etc. His current research interests lie in deep reinforcement learning, computational intelligence, smart driving, game artificial intelligence, robotics, etc. He is an IEEE Fellow.
